Our Story
Hi, we’re Anusha and Prasanna, parents to two Montessori children and the founders of The Learning Pod.
The Learning Pod Montessori grew out of what we saw in our own children. Their natural curiosity and love of learning made us curious about the Montessori approach and the way it nurtures a child’s innate desire to explore, discover and understand.
What began as curiosity led us to study Montessori more deeply, including internationally recognised AMI (Association Montessori Internationale) Primary and Elementary training. The more we learned, the more we wanted to create an environment where children could experience this joy of learning every day—and share it with other families.
Why The Learning Pod?
A learning pod is, at its heart, a community. It brings together children, parents and educators who take an active part in a child’s learning journey.
We chose the name The Learning Pod because we believe children thrive when they grow within a community. Parents are not simply observers of their children’s education; they are part of it. A learning community gives parents the opportunity to be involved, to learn alongside their children, and to build the kind of village that can so often feel missing today.
At The Learning Pod, we hope to create that village for children and parents alike.
Montessori lends itself beautifully to this way of learning and living. It invites us to slow down, observe our children, understand their needs, and give them the freedom, environment and support they need to grow into themselves.
This is the kind of community we hope to build at The Learning Pod—one where children are trusted, curiosity is nurtured, and learning is something we experience together.
