The Learning Pod Montessori hopes to be the village that every parent and child needs. We aim to build a strong community of parents and educators who believe that learning can be exciting, joyful and meaningful. Learning the Montessori Way

The first six years of life, known as the First Plane of Development, are a period of tremendous growth and learning. During these years, the focus is on developing physical independence and supporting the child’s remarkable ability to absorb and make sense of their surroundings.

Children are prepared for learning through Practical Life activities that help them develop independence, coordination and a sense of order. They also work with scientifically designed Montessori materials that refine and train the senses, which are particularly receptive during this period of development.

Alongside this, children are introduced to the world around them through nature walks, songs, stories, conversations and other experiences that build their understanding of culture. A strong foundation in language and mathematics is developed through concrete experiences, allowing children to gradually move towards abstract understanding and, most importantly, giving them the tools to express themselves and make sense of the world.
